Powered Tow Bar product and aircraft ground handling

How it started

Once I finally got a hangar for my 1963 Mooney M20C, the airplane seemed to gain weight.

Getting it up the incline, over the door rails, and across the concrete lip by myself was possible, but it was not easy. I looked at what was available and had the same reaction a lot of aircraft owners have: why does this have to cost that much?

So I built my own.

After using it, I realized it solved a problem other pilots were dealing with too. Not every airplane needs some elaborate ground-handling solution. Some of us just need practical powered help getting the airplane out of the hangar and back in again.

I am a pilot and airplane owner, so this was designed from the perspective of someone who actually uses it. I like simple tools. I do not want to waste time fixing something that should just work, and I do not want to replace expensive parts for no good reason.

Could I make it fancier? Sure. It would cost more and probably not move the airplane any better.

That is the point of MooneyMover: practical aircraft ground-handling help, built around the job instead of the usual aviation markup.
